Job Description:

As a Remote Accountant at Alphacrucis University College, you will be responsible for a range of tasks that contribute to our financial operations:

• Maintenance and processing of month-end accounting journals.
• Monthly reconciliation of tuition revenue between student management and finance systems.
• Management of month-end general ledger reconciliation
• Preparation of management accounts and analysis of actual vs. budget in line with reporting deadlines.
• Collaboration with internal departments, as well as external service providers.
• Monitoring of project accounting activities across various projects.
• Ensuring integrity and maintenance of the General Ledger and systems.
• Assisting the CFO with ad-hoc reporting, analysis, and projects.
• Support in year-end auditing and financial reporting.
• Assistance in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Maintenance of financial budgeting and reporting systems, including accounting system upkeep, reporting building, and user setup.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience as a qualified accountant for a foreign company, preferably based in Australia, New Zealand, UK, or USA.
• Qualifications: CA or CPA qualification or in progress, complemented by a secondary degree in IT or substantial IT experience.
• Technical Skills: We are seeking a candidate with a strong proficiency in technology, as this role entails being the administrator of multiple finance systems. Advanced Excel, SalesForce and PowerBI skills are essential. Additionally, a degree in IT will be considered an advantage.
