Job Description

A Reinsurance Manager oversees and manages an organization's reinsurance program, ensuring efficient risk transfer and compliance, while also managing relationships with reinsurers.

Reinsurance Program Management

  • Develop and implement reinsurance strategies aligned with the company's risk appetite and financial goals.
  • Negotiate and secure reinsurance treaties and facultative agreements.
  • Monitor and manage reinsurance programs, including premium payments, claim recoveries, and reinsurance accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with reinsurers and reinsurance brokers.

Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage risks related to reinsurance activities, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
  • Develop and implement risk management frameworks and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on reinsurance performance and risk exposures.

Financial Management

  • Prepare and review reinsurance budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze reinsurance profitability.
  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting of reinsurance transactions.

Team Leadership (if Applicable)

  • Supervise and mentor reinsurance staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement training programs for reinsurance staff.
  • Evaluate and manage the performance of reinsurance staff.

Other Responsibilities

  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as underwriting, claims, and finance.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
  • With more than 2 years work experience in handling Reinsurance
