Job Overview:

Permitting Manager will lead and oversee the permitting strategy and execution for all renewable energy projects, ensuring timely acquisition of all national and local permits while managing risks, maintaining strong government relationships, and supporting project development milestones.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the permitting team to identify and secure all required permits and approvals
  • Develop a national permitting strategy aligned with the project pipeline and regulatory developments
  • Identify risks and constraints in permitting activities and propose solutions
  • Maintain a permitting risk register shared across BD, Technical, and Legal teams
  • Coordinate with project development teams and other departments to ensure milestones and deliverables are aligned
  • Ensure all permitting deliverables are reflected in project schedules and meet financing and investment requirements
  • Liaise with ERC, DoE, NGCP, DAR, LGUs and other government entities for permit acquisition
  • Strengthen relationships with environmental, indigenous, and cultural agencies including NCIP, DENR, and HLURB
  • Produce, maintain, and update the Permit RACI matrix
  • Implement permitting tracking dashboards and standard templates for site teams

Required Skills and Competencies

  • 710 years of permitting experience in energy, utilities, or infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge of national and local permitting requirements (DOE, ERC, NGCP, DENR, NCIP, LGUs).
  • Ability to develop permitting strategies, manage risks, and lead a permitting team.
  • Strong communication and government-relations skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in cross-functional coordination.
  • Willing to travel to project locations.
