What's The Role

As the Regional Payroll Manager, you will be accountable for delivering accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations across more than 70 countries, ensuring a positive employee experience and building trust through operational excellence.

In this role, you will oversee Payroll Managers across China, Malaysia, Australia, the Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Thailand, while continuing to manage the payroll for your designated country. You will provide leadership, guidance, and strategic direction to the regional cluster, fostering alignment and consistency in payroll practices.

This position is a key member of the Global Payroll Leadership Team (GPLT), contributing to global payroll strategy and driving effective cross-country communication. The Regional Payroll Manager for AsiaPac plays a pivotal role in integrating strategy, communication, and culture across the region.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across all countries within the cluster.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex or highrisk payroll issues.
  • Cascade key communications, priorities, and initiatives from the Global Payroll Leadership Team (GPLT) to country teams.
  • Co-develop and execute payroll strategies in alignment with GPLT, HR, and overall company direction.
  • Maintain strict adherence to statutory, regulatory, and audit requirements in every jurisdiction.
  • Partner with senior business leaders to design, optimize, and enhance payroll processes and systems.
  • Lead change management initiatives, including technology upgrades and process improvements.
  • Cultivate a highperformance culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Champion continuous improvement across all aspects of payroll operations.
  • High energy, enthusiasm, and a strong drive for integration and innovation.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and build trust within a diverse, multicultural environment.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in payroll management, ideally spanning multiple AsiaPacific countries.
  • Deep functional expertise in payroll operations, with handson experience using SAP or comparable enterprise payroll systems.
  • Proven leadership capability, including managing diverse and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to confidently engage and influence senior leaders.
  • Solid understanding of operational risk, governance, and compliance requirements within payroll environments.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change initiatives; familiarity with LEAN or similar continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
  • Strong judgment and decisionmaking abilities, especially when navigating complex or ambiguous scenarios.
