The role is responsible for overseeing the operations of all pharmacy branches in the region. The ROM ensures stores perform efficiently, achieve sales and profit targets, follow regulations, and deliver excellent customer service. Area Operations Managers report to the ROM, who provides guidance, support, and strategic direction to achieve business goals.
Responsibilities
Operations Management
Directs and supervises daily operations of all assigned pharmacy branches to ensure smooth and efficient store performance.
Monitors sales, inventory, and operational metrics to achieve area targets and profitability goals.
Ensures strict compliance with government and company regulations related to pharmaceutical retail operations.
Implements standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and quality across stores.
People Management
Lead, coach, and develop Area Operations Managers and branch teams.
Oversees recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of store employees.
Enforces discipline and promotes a culture of accountability, teamwork, and customer focus.
Identifies training and development needs to improve staff capabilities and service quality.
Business Development and Planning
Identifies potential sites for new store openings or expansion.
Analyzes market trends and customer needs to develop area growth strategies.
Prepares and submits area business plans and reports to management.
Support Area Operations Managers in achieving sales and profitability goals.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
Ensures all branches comply with DOH, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
Monitors adherence to company policies on pharmacy operations, product handling, and customer service.
Coordinates with quality assurance and audit teams to address compliance gaps.
Communication and Coordination
Conduct regular meetings with Area Operations Managers to align operations with company goals.
Communicates corporate updates, policies, and initiatives to store teams.
Coordinates with other departments to resolve operational concerns.
Represents the company in handling major issues or concerns within the area.
Reporting and Administration
Review and approve operational reports submitted by Area Operations Managers.
Submits timely and accurate reports on sales, manpower, and operational activities.
Recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, pharmacy, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in retail pharmacy operations or multi-store management.
Proven experience in leading teams and managing multiple branches or regions.
Experience in sales planning, budgeting, and business growth initiatives.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
