You own the sourcing and screening engine behind a specialist agency desk covering engineering, manufacturing, industrial, and trades & labour recruitment across the US and Australian markets, keeping a strong pipeline of vetted, compliant candidates ready for placement. Your work follows established sourcing workflows, compliance checks, and screening standards aligned with a fast-moving, high-volume desk.

This is a high-volume, conversation-heavy role built around 20–40 candidate calls a day, mixing warm follow-ups with applicants and proactive headhunting. Best suited for recruitment professionals who are confident on the phone, thrive on a full pipeline, and value structure and accountability over ambiguity.

YOU'RE LIKELY A STRONG FIT IF YOU HAVE

• 1.5–2+ years of recruitment experience within an agency environment, specialising in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, or trades & labour recruitment for the US or AUS market
• Experience recruiting across both blue-collar technical trades and white-collar civil engineering or operational roles
• A strong understanding of site-based compliance, licences, tickets, and WHS requirements
• Proven ability to manage high-volume, fast-moving recruitment pipelines and build active labour pools
• Strong candidate vetting skills, including reference checks and compliance verification
• Confidence on the phones, with the stamina for a high daily call volume (20-40 calls/day)
• Solid CRM and database discipline
• Sound understanding of common manufacturing and engineering roles (Fitters, Electricians, Boilermakers, Welders, CNC Machinists, Maintenance Technicians, Engineers, Production personnel)

STRONG SIGNALS

• Experience supporting a Trades and Engineering recruitment desk within the Australian manufacturing industry
• Exposure to labour hire or on-hire workforce recruitment
• Familiarity with trade licences and tickets (electrical, forklift, EWP, working at heights, confined space)
• Knowledge of Australian manufacturing environments, industrial awards, and site-specific requirements

Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development

You own the top of the funnel, keeping the desk supplied with strong, ready-to-place talent.

• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, database searches, referrals, and networking
• Build and maintain an active, engaged talent pipeline aligned to current and future client needs
• Write and post engaging job ads that attract high-quality applicants

Screening, Compliance & Candidate Assessment

You ensure every candidate presented is genuinely qualified, compliant, and ready to work.

• Conduct detailed phone and virtual screening interviews to assess technical capability, cultural fit, and motivation
• Verify qualifications, licences, and compliance documentation, and complete reference checks
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate records within the CRM/ATS
• Ensure candidates meet compliance and WHS requirements prior to placement

Client & Delivery Coordination

You own the delivery experience for the consultant and client relationship, keeping it fast, accurate, and professional.

• Partner with consultants and clients to understand role requirements and market conditions
• Coordinate interviews, feedback, offer management, and onboarding
• Provide market insights on salary expectations, candidate availability, and competitor activity
• Work toward placement, time-to-fill, and retention KPIs with urgency and ownership
