GENERAL FUNCTION
This position is responsible for leading key projects and studies in R&D to support business goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Prepares concept or proposal papers for products recommended for development.
2.Formulates products based on agreed specifications and target costs. Ensure efficiencies on processing of formulated products and use of ingredients.
3.Ensures proper, updated and complete reporting of data gathered during compounding product evaluation and laboratory batching.
4.Ensures proper, updated and complete documentation and routing of Master Formula, Product Specifications and Mixing Forms.
5.Document all phases of research and development.
6.Works with packaging group to come up with the appropriate packaging for the products being developed.
7.Reviews and approves artworks and proofing/ bromides of all packaging materials.
8.Conducts appropriate tests to ensure that the products meet quality requirements and are safe and effective for use based on current regulations. Coordinates with the third-party laboratories or testing institutions for testing requirements.
9.Ensures on time evaluation of products under stability.
10.Profiles benchmark products available in the market.
11.Conducts product presentation and testing to clients together with the Sales team.
12.Ensures timely preparation / updating of project status report.
13.Prepares for and executes regular product planning presentations of developed products to ManCom and market facing units of Lamoiyan.
14.Provides technical assistance to the manufacturing department in troubleshooting process and product quality issues and recommends solution to address such issues.
15.Performs laboratory studies related to product development on oral care, household care, personal care and other categories.
16.Provides assistance in the assessment of questionnaires / feedback from Technical Community Panel.
17.Provides documentation requirements for registration and notification of Lamoiyan products with Regulatory or Certifying authorities.
18.Prepares and revises R&D related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
19.Assists in the preparation of Product Information File (PIF).
20.Conducts training on new and revised procedures.
21.Conducts training and validation of new manufacturing personnel assigned in the mixing of bulk products.
22.Works with tollers on the development of products.
23.Understands and supports the achievement of the department's objectives which are aligned with the company's goals.
24.Suggest training tools to enhance R&D Technical Associate's performance and skill development.
25.Monitor team metrics and objectives ensuring meeting of goals.
