Job Type: Full-Time
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, either 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Time, or 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Pacific Time, with a 30-minute break
Salary: $1,200
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QuickBooks Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks and support accounts receivable operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing basic bookkeeping functions, and following up on outstanding customer payments in a professional and timely manner. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and comfortable communicating with customers regarding invoices and payment reminders. This is a remote position requiring strong accountability and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Record Management
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks
- Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with monthly financial reporting
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records
Accounts Receivable & Payment Follow-Ups
- Generate and send invoices to customers
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports
- Follow up on overdue invoices via email and/or phone
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding outstanding balances
- Track payment statuses and update records accordingly
- Escalate payment issues when necessary
Administrative & Financial Support
- Assist with basic financial reporting and data entry
- Maintain organized digital financial files
- Support leadership with bookkeeping-related tasks as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience using QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
- At least 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience managing accounts receivable, including invoice tracking and payment follow-ups
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
