The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for cost planning, budgeting, measurement, and cost
control of construction, fit-out, and renovation projects across The Aivee Group. The role ensures
projects are delivered within approved budgets, timelines, and quality standards, while
coordinating closely with Project Managers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Cost Planning & Budget Control
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and project budgets for new clinics, renovations, and improvement works.
- Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Track variations, change orders, and cost impacts, and provide timely recommendations.
Procurement & Contract Administration
- Assist in tender preparation, evaluation, and contractor selection.
- Review contractor quotations, progress billings, and final accounts.
- Ensure contracts and variations are properly documented and aligned with approved budgets.
Project Monitoring & Reporting
- Validate contractor progress claims and certify payments.
- Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses for management.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to address cost risks and mitigation plans.
Coordination & Site Support
- Work closely with Project Management, Design, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Conduct site visits to validate measurements, work progress, and compliance.
- Support resolution of cost-related issues during project execution.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with company standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
- Maintain accurate project cost records and documentation.
- Support post-project cost reviews and lessons learned.
Ad Hoc
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned either individually or as part of a committee.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 35 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost management, or project controls.
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Experience in commercial, healthcare, retail, or fit-out projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with local construction practices, contracts, and costing standards.
