Role Overview:
The Quality Planner ensures robust product and process development and supports series production quality in line with normative, legal, and customer-specific requirements. The role leads advance quality planning, supports project and production teams, and drives continuous improvement to ensure reliable and compliant manufacturing outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
Advanced Quality Planning & Project Support
- Execute and assess APQP activities for new projects, ensuring alignment with customer and internal requirements.
- Review and implement customer quality standards (e.g., VDA) and report APQP status in project/customer meetings.
- Support testing, validation, MSA evaluations, and process capability reviews for series-production readiness.
- Integrate quality requirements into new product and process development.
Quality Methods, Standards & Compliance
- Apply preventive quality tools (e.g., FMEA) and lead risk-reduction activities in early development stages.
- Conduct process analyses, improvement actions, and ensure proper documentation and verification.
- Plan and support VDA 6.3 audits, customer audits, and ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and MinebeaMitsumi guidelines.
- Maintain quality documentation and train employees on quality procedures and standards.
Quality Issue Resolution & Complaint Management
- Lead defective-part analyses, 8D problem-solving, and corrective actions before SOP.
- Support complaint investigations and root-cause analysis for post-SOP issues using structured quality tools.
- Coordinate product requalification for external or international manufacturing sites.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Quality Excellence
- Implement quality-focused approaches to secure stable, efficient series production.
- Evaluate planned quality measures, drive improvement initiatives, and support audits with evidence and quality performance data.
- Monitor design changes and ensure proper integration into processes and documentation.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
- 35 years of experience in quality engineering or quality planning.
- Expert-level APQP & PPAP knowledge.
- Professional-level skills in analytical problem-solving, IATF/VDA/ISO standards, and root-cause analysis.
- Strong project management, cross-functional collaboration, and customer communication skills.
- Highly systematic, process-oriented, detail-focused, and compliance-driven.
