Quality Engineer (Tester)

Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.

Summary: As a Quality Engineer, you will engage in a variety of tasks that ensure the quality and reliability of software applications. Your typical day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute testing strategies, focusing on API testing, and participating in discussions to enhance the overall testing process. You will also be responsible for identifying and reporting defects, contributing to continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring that the software meets the highest quality standards throughout its lifecycle. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for API testing. - Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and design effective test strategies. - Monitor and report defects, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement. - Participate in code reviews to provide feedback on testability and quality. - Assist in the creation of automation strategies and automated testing scripts. Professional & Technical Skills: - Required Skill: Expert proficiency in API Testing. - Additional Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Functional Test Planning, Agile Testing. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices. - Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems. - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment processes. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 2 years of experience in API Testing. - This position is based at our Manila office. Minimum 2 year(s) of experience is required
