PILMICO ANIMAL NUTRITION CORPORATION, is a subsidiary of Pilmico Foods Corporation wholly owned by Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. We provide customers with high quality feeds for aqua, hogs, poultry as well as customized solutions for large farm accounts.

Since we started in 1998, we have grown and diversified to include swine and layer operations in Tarlac.

Our swine and layer farms employ advanced production systems, with automated feeding and drinking systems. Climate control is achieved in the barns through tunnel ventilation and evaporative cooling system. Our swine genetic program and pullet source selection on the other hand, ensures that we only produce quality market hogs and layers. Strict biosecurity measures are also in place to protect the animals from bacterial and viral disease exposure.

Job Description

The Quality Control Associate - Toll Mill is responsible for assuring the conformity of feeds produced according to its specification. The position is also responsible for proper sampling and analysis of incoming raw materials, ensuring that all ingredients received are according to specifications and are still in good condition before production use.

Quality Control

• Conducts sampling, inspection, analysis and disposition of incoming macro/micro raw materials.
• Conducts sampling, inspection, analysis and disposition of raw materials in storage bins and prepares inspection reports.
• Conducts sampling, inspection, analysis and disposition of finished goods both in process and bagging to determine conformance to specifications.
• Informs concerned department/s on deviation/non-conformity found to ensure that corrective actions will be implemented.
• Conducts weekly bulk density monitoring and prepares reports.
• Implements standard operating procedure on retained sample management.
• Prepares monthly samples for wet analysis and ensures third party laboratory analysis is conducted.
• Verifies micro hand adds preparation report versus implemented formula to ensure accuracy.
• Checks/inspects production run ticket report , dosing report and formulation.
• Monitors on-hold finished goods and on-hold raw materials and ensures chemical and wet analysis is conducted by a third party laboratory (if necessary).
• Assists in conducting mixer tests.
• Coordinates with the Toll Miller regarding the production schedule and request.
• Collects necessary production data for process efficiency and production quality analysis.
• Generates necessary production reports in a timely manner.
• Actively helps in conducting RCA/CA for customer concerns/complaints.
• Assists in the design, development and implementation of quality control standards and programs.
  
  

Record Management

• Manages and maintains a recording system of all analysis results of finished feeds and raw materials used for easy retrieval and reference.
• Accomplishes shift reports (QC Shift Report, FSAR, bin bottom, production report) at every end of shift.
• Manages and maintains Certificate of Analysis of Macro.
• Timely transactions in SAP.
  
  

Accountability

• Maintains the highest level of the product quality produced by the plant
• Maintains confidentiality in terms of product formulation whether commercial, customized or experimental feed.
  
  

Food Safety:

• Complies with quality, Halal, health and food safety policy, standards and regulations of the company.
• Responsible for reporting problems related to Halal, food safety & quality management system to identified authorities.
  
  

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

• Actively participate in all company programs and activities under quality improvement, safety & security, sanitation and food safety, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, risk management etc.
• Participates and contributes with cross-functional teams involving various process improvement activities.
• Performs jobs other than the current assignment under the following situations:
  
  

Qualifications

• when the employees assigned to do the task is on leave
• when the employees assigned to do the task in question is out of work area due to other assignments such as official business trips, field work, special projects, attending seminars or trainings
• when the employees assigned to do the task in question is assigned to do jobs of higher priority
• Takes an active role in the implementation and maintenance systems such as ISO and 5S/GMP/HACCP.
• Performs other related tasks as may be assigned by the Team Leader.
  
  

Education:

• preferably a Chemistry-related BS degree
  
  

Experience:

• preferably with experience in Feed Milling Operation
  
  

Other Requirements:

• Planning, analytical, numerical, problem-solving skills
• Computer literate
• Can work under pressure with minimal supervision
• Mobile (willing to be assigned anywhere in Visayas)
