Quality Assurance Tester

We are seeking Manual QA Testers based in Manila to support ongoing quality assurance efforts across enterprise applications. This role is well-suited for testers with a solid QA foundation who are curious, detail-oriented, and able to think independently while executing structured test scenarios.

This is a full-time (FTE) position with a long-term horizon . While automation exposure may be available over time, the primary focus is on manual testing, scenario design, and thoughtful validation of user workflows. Training and ramp-up will be provided; candidates are not expected to know everything on day one.

Key Responsibilities

Manual Testing & QA Execution

Execute manual test cases to validate functionality, workflows, and user experience.

Write and maintain test scenarios and test cases based on requirements and observed system behavior.

Perform exploratory testing to identify defects, edge cases, and usability issues.

Clearly document test results, including positive and negative scenarios.

Test Management & Collaboration

Log, track, and manage defects using Jira.

Use Xray (or similar test management tools) to organize test cases, executions, and results.

Collaborate with QA leads, developers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and expected outcomes.

Critical Thinking & Ownership

Approach testing with creativity and sound judgment, not just scripted steps.

Make decisions efficiently and work through ambiguity without excessive direction.

Manage time effectively and remain composed under pressure.

Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a self-sufficient working style.

Qualifications

Background in Quality Assurance / Manual Testing.

Understanding of QA fundamentals, including what a manual test case is, how to write test scenarios, and how to validate expected vs. actual results.

Experience using Jira for defect tracking.

Familiarity with Xray or similar QA test management tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to think critically, manage stress, and respond effectively to open-ended situations.

Willingness to learn, adapt, and ramp up quickly with provided training.

Based in Manila and available for a full-time role.
