The Quality Assurance Manager leads and oversees all QA operations to ensure that products consistently meet the company's quality and safety standards. This role drives the development and execution of comprehensive quality and food safety programs and ensures alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and manages company-wide quality assurance and food safety strategies.
- Evaluates and audits quality programs and procedures across all operating units to verify compliance and effectiveness.
- Works closely with internal teams and external regulatory bodies to maintain conformity with FDA, NMIS, BAI, BFAR, LGU, and other applicable standards and regulations.
- Prepares and submits regular reports on quality operations and conducts audits of suppliers, toll manufacturers, bakeries, and depotsidentifying issues, recommending actions, and managing critical product quality or safety concerns.
- Recommends enhancements to testing equipment, facility systems, and operational processes to support quality initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Participates in recruitment, training, and performance management of QA staff; reviews manpower requirements to ensure optimal efficiency; designs work schedules and assignments; and evaluates employees for regularization or promotion in line with QA division guidelines.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, or other related scientific fields.
- Preferably a licensed Chemist, Chemical Engineer, or Chemical Technician.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Food Quality Assurance, R&D, Manufacturing, or similar areas.
- At least five (5) years of supervisory and peoplemanagement experience.
- Strong knowledge of Food Science and Technology, including food engineering, chemistry, microbiology, and relevant analytical methods (e.g., physicochemical analyses).
- Preferably experienced in Quality Management Systems such as HACCP, ISO standards, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) within a food manufacturing environment.
- Familiar with GMP, GWP, and GLP practices.
- Must reside in or have family ties within Danao City, Cebu or nearby locations.
