Quality Assurance Data Analyst
About the Role:
The QA Data Analyst will support data quality assurance efforts related to ETL data validation, Power BI report validation, and Snowflake-based SQL data analysis to identify root causes of data issues. This role is integral to ensuring data accuracy and reliability within our insurance and Reinsurance systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the data and analytics team to ensure the effective and timely delivery of quality assurance validation checks.
Validate ETL processes to ensure accurate data transformation and loading.
Perform Power BI report validation to confirm data accuracy and visual representation.
Conduct SQL-based data analysis in Snowflake to identify and resolve root causes of data discrepancies.
Develop and execute comprehensive test cases and scenarios for data validation.
Document and communicate QA findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
Support the documentation and prioritization of QA tasks and ensure timely resolution of data issues.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of ETL processes and data validation techniques.
Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflake for data analysis.
Experience with Power BI for report validation.
Sharp analytical skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and business teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data architecture.
Education and/or Experience:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in data quality assurance, preferably within the insurance industry.
