Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Analyze raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Oversee daily laboratory activities, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring food safety and quality management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all company quality systems and regulatory documentation requirements.
  • Inspect all incoming raw materials (e.g., coconuts, additives, packaging materials, and chemicals) under the Quality Department, confirming specifications through standard sampling methods, visual/organoleptic evaluations, and measurement tests.
  • Identify rejects in the production line, recommend appropriate actions, and initiate requests for the return of unacceptable materials with complete documentation.
  • Verify the quality of raw materials before releasing them for production.
  • Collect and test samples of raw ingredients and finished products to ensure manufactured goods are of high quality, match specifications, and align with product labeling for nutritional content.
  • Assist in sample preparation and perform chemical and microbiological analyses as needed.
  • Prepare, operate, and update procedures in accordance with the Company's Document Management System.
  • Support the establishment, consistent implementation, and monitoring of food safety and quality management systems in adherence to local regulations and customer requirements.
  • Prepare finished goods evaluation reports to ensure proper product disposition and recommend approval before releasing any product to customers.
  • Develop, implement, and improve quality assurance procedures and policies.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in a quality control or assurance role, preferably in food manufacturing.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with lab equipment.
  • Preferably a Registered Chemical Technician
  • Willing to relocate to Rizal, Palawan.
