Description
The Quality Assurance Analyst Associate is responsible for executing manual, automated, and performance testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle to ensure high-quality product releases. This role includes creating and executing test cases, identifying and documenting defects, performing regression testing, and validating defect fixes.
The role also supports an AI-driven software testing lifecycle by leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) tools and automation frameworks to improve test design, execution efficiency, and overall product quality. This applies a combination of AI-assisted test design, manual validation, and automated execution to ensure efficient and high-quality testing outcomes.
The Associate QA will support performance testing efforts by monitoring application performance, analyzing test results, and creating performance test scripts based on functional requirements. The role will also contribute to test automation initiatives by developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts using approved automation frameworks and tools.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow in the areas of Quality Assurance, Performance Testing, Test Automation, and AI-assisted testing practices. The candidate should be willing to expand into Performance QA and Test Automation responsibilities as part of their professional development.
A Typical Day In The Life Includes
- Develops proficiency in Infor applications, QA tools, and testing processes within the team's scope.
- Works with project teams to design, develop, and execute manual, automated, and performance test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
- Performs automation and performance testing activities, including execution, monitoring, and analysis of results.
- Shifts effectively between automation and performance testing tasks depending on project needs.
- Supports test environments and participates in the full testing lifecycle across releases.
- Analyzes test results, identifies discrepancies, and logs defects using the defined reporting process.
- Performs regression testing and performance monitoring to ensure stability of existing and new features.
- Demonstrates openness to transformation initiatives and AI-driven (GenAI) ways of working.
- Assists in application support activities related to quality validation and testing feedback.
- Participates in code reviews for automated test scripts and contributes to improving test automation quality.
- Collaborates with management and team members to continuously improve QA processes and testing strategies.
- Creates and maintains QA documentation in the team's wiki or knowledge base.
- Communicates testing progress, risks, schedules, and timelines to team leadership and stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience or exposure in software testing, quality assurance, or related roles (including internships or academic projects).
- Basic understanding of SDLC, software testing principles, and Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar).
- Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar)
- Basic understanding of web technologies such as HTTP/HTTPS and REST APIs.
- Introductory knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
- Utilizes GenAI tools to generate, expand, and refine test scenarios and test cases.
- Reviews and validates AI-generated test artifacts for accuracy, completeness, and risk coverage.
- Continuously improves AI-assisted outputs through feedback and refinement to enhance test quality and effectiveness.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with the ability to perform technical analysis.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, discipline, adaptability, and a strong willingness to learn.

- Willing to work onsite (RTO 3x per week, day shift)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile QA environments and Agile delivery teams
- Experience using defect tracking tools such as JIRA
- Working knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks in any of the following: Robot Framework, Playwright, PyCharm, Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution), Visual Studio (test development and debugging support), and Kiro (automation/testing tool)
- Experience or exposure to performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner/VUGen, Grafana, and Sumo Logic (log analysis and monitoring)
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience using version control and collaboration tools such as Git or SourceTree
