Description
The Quality Assurance Analyst Associate is responsible for supporting software quality assurance activities through a hybrid approach of manual and automated testing. The role covers test case creation, test execution, defect reporting, regression testing, and validation of fixes to ensure product quality across releases.
This position performs both functional and exploratory manual testing while also contributing to test automation efforts by developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using approved frameworks and tools. The role helps improve testing efficiency and expand automation coverage across key product areas. The Associate QA Analyst also collaborates closely with cross-functional teams and may leverage AI-driven testing tools and GenAI-assisted practices to enhance test design, execution, and coverage.
The Associate QA Analyst will support an AI-driven software testing lifecycle by leveraging Generative AI (GenAI) tools and automation frameworks to improve test design, execution efficiency, and overall product quality. The role applies a combination of AI-assisted test design, manual validation, and automated execution to ensure efficient and high-quality testing outcomes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and eager to grow in both manual testing and automation engineering within a fast-paced QA environment.
A Typical Day In The Life Includes
- Develops proficiency in Infor applications, tools, and QA processes within the team's scope.
- Works with project teams to design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases based on functional requirements and design specifications.
- Performs manual testing and contributes to test automation execution and maintenance activities.
- Shifts effectively between manual and automation testing tasks based on project needs and priorities.
- Supports test environments and participates in the overall testing lifecycle across releases.
- Analyzes test results, identifies discrepancies, and logs defects using the defined reporting process.
- Performs thorough functional and regression testing to validate new features and existing functionality.
- Demonstrates openness to transformation initiatives and AI-driven (GenAI) ways of working.
- Assists in maintaining and supporting application quality through collaboration with development and QA teams.
- Participates in reviews of automated test scripts and contributes feedback within the QA team.

- Contributes to continuous improvement of QA processes by providing feedback and suggestions to management.
- Creates and maintains QA documentation in the team's functional wiki.
- Communicates testing progress, risks, and timelines clearly to team leadership and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Experience or exposure to software testing, quality assurance, or related roles (including internships or academic projects).
- Basic understanding of SDLC, software testing principles, and Agile methodologies.
- Exposure to test automation tools or frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Utilizes GenAI tools to generate, expand, and refine test scenarios and test cases.
- Reviews and validates AI-generated test artifacts for accuracy, completeness, and business alignment.
- Continuously improves AI-assisted outputs through feedback and refinement.
- Supports evaluation of AI-generated test cases for correctness, risk coverage, and completeness.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates initiative, discipline, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
- Quality-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup (RTO 3x per week, day shift).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in Agile QA environments and Agile delivery teams
- Experience using defect tracking tools such as JIRA
- Working knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks in any of the following: Robot Framework, Playwright, PyCharm, Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution), Visual Studio (test development and debugging support), and Kiro (automation/testing tool)
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
- Experience using version control and collaboration tools such as Git or SourceTree
