QCAD Manager

About the Role
The QCAD (Quality, Control, Assurance, and Development) Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and standards within the manufacturing operations. This role ensures that all products meet required specifications, comply with industry and regulatory standards, and support continuous process improvements. The QCAD Manager leads quality teams, drives improvement initiatives, and collaborates across departments to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO, GMP, or other industry standards.
Establish and monitor quality control processes throughout manufacturing operations.
Supervise inspection, testing, and verification activities to ensure compliance with specifications.
Approve quality documentation, SOPs, and work instructions.
Lead Kaizen, Lean, and Six Sigma initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Work with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to enhance product design and manufacturing processes.
Identify quality risks, propose solutions, and oversee corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Prepare and lead internal and external quality audits.
Ensure compliance with local and international standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Maintain accurate records and reports of quality performance and audit results.
Manage and mentor the QCAD team, including quality engineers, inspectors, and analysts.
Provide training programs on quality awareness, compliance, and best practices.
Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Track, analyze, and report on key quality metrics (defect rates, customer complaints, rework, downtime).
Present findings and improvement plans to senior management.
Recommend system or process changes based on data-driven insights.
Other task assignments within the scope of work.
KEY SKILLS
Quality Systems & Tools Knowledge of QMS, ISO, GMP, FDA, CAPA, root cause analysis
Process Improvement Expertise in Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies
Leadership Team management, training, mentoring, and decision-making skills
Analytical & Technical Strong data analysis, audit preparation, and reporting abilities
Soft Skills Communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, and customer focus
Qualifications
Education:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality Management, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Food Technology, or related field
Experience:Minimum 57 years of experience in quality assurance, control, and management within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of:Strong knowledge of ISO standards, GMP, and FDA regulations applicable to the industry.
Certifications:Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or ISO Lead Auditor (preferred)
Proven experience in leading audits, managing QMS, and implementing CAPA systems.
