Your Role:
The QC Drafter is responsible for AutoCAD design of wireless telecommunication sites, including new raw land sites, collocations on existing towers, antennas, rooftops, and water tanks
What Youu0027ll Do

• Lead and support QC activities across high-volume fiber/copper design workflows.
• Establish, manage, and improve SLA timelines, QC processes, and overall workflow efficiency.
• Perform the final technical review of all jobs before submission to the client.
• Maintain, track, and update the QC tracker for all active jobs.
• Collaborate directly with design subcontractors to identify recurring issues and support quality improvements.
• Quickly learn and adhere to client engineering design standards with minimal ramp time.
• Support workload expansion in the Ohio/Kentucky markets, coordinating with the current QC lead to balance volumes.
• Demonstrate strong AutoCAD skills, technical accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams, external partners, and leadership.
• Stay organized, manage priorities effectively, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
• Function as a self-starter capable of mastering processes quickly and making an immediate impact.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Extensive experience in fiber and copper telecom design.
• Hands-on experience supporting BAU workloads:
• Fiber extensions
• Circuit jobs
• PON extensions
• Maintenance work
• Fiber-to-the-cell/tower
• Held orders
• Advanced AutoCAD proficiency (all designs are produced in AutoCAD).
• 4-5 years as an OSP Designer, followed by several years performing QC reviews.
• Prior experience guiding or supporting a QC team (no direct reports, but must provide direction).
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2012 or newer in an engineering/drafting environment
• 3 years of experience as an AutoCAD drafter is required
• Experience in construction and the wireless industry is required outside plant experience is a plus
• Effective communication skills, including verbal and written skills
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
• A demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Work effectively in a team setting while handling personal workload
• Ability to follow directions and a willingness to learn
• Integrity, versatility, flexibility, and a winning attitude
