Job Description

  • Ensures the proper implementation of the companys Integrated Management System (IMS) and approved Project Quality Plan (PQP) at the project site.
  • Implements the QA/QC procedures to ensure compliance to project requirements and standard specifications.
  • Ensures the availability of drawings and specifications in the QA/QC project office to serve as reference.
  • Ensures the timely approval of materials to be used for the project.
  • Ensures that measuring and testing equipment are regularly calibrated and fit to be used for all projects.
  • Sources and submits proposed materials to the client for their approval.
  • Coordinates with the clients QA/QC Engineer for matters concerning quality.
  • Orients subcontractors with regards to the projects QA/QC plan upon joining to ensure their compliance with the projects quality requirements.
  • Monitors the closure of issued non-conformance reports and monitors the effective implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensures timely submission of reports to the client and the corporate QESH office.
  • Provides regular weekly updates to the corporate QESH office with regards to the QA/QC status of the projects
  • Conducts weekly coordination meeting with the project QA/QC team.
  • Represents QA/QC during project and client meetings.
  • Ensures factory acceptance test (FAT) are conducted prior to delivery to project sites.
  • Ensures the compliance of work processes and personnel on ISO standards.
  • Evaluates the performance of project QA/QC personnel and recommends skills enhancement as necessary.
  • Provides mentoring and training to subordinates at the project site for skills enhancement.
  • Performs other related job/duties as may be assigned by the management from time to time.
  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering with 7-10 years of QAQC experience, including 5 years in a leadership role in infra, hydro power plant, and road projects as supervisor/ head in QAQC.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards (e.g., ISO), inspection methods, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in managing teams and ensuring compliance with quality protocols.
