Job Description

We are seeking a QA & Test Automation Engineer to redefine how we validate our complex, multi-layered platforms. This isn't a traditional QA role; we need an engineer who can write high-quality code, navigate a diverse technical stack (React, Java, Kotlin), and manage automated test execution within a Kubernetes environment. You will ensure that our digital transformation solutions for the healthcare industry are resilient, performant, and bug-free.

Key Responsibilities

  • Framework Development: Maintain and extend our E2E test harness built on JUnit and Kotlin, using Playwright as the core web driver.
  • Bridge the Automation Gap: Conduct manual functional and exploratory testing for new features; define manual test cases for automation.
  • Test Data Management: Design strategies for generating, maintaining, and resetting test data, ensuring quality and privacy compliance.
  • Full-Stack Testing Strategy: Automate tests for React/TypeScript front-ends and Spring Boot back-ends.
  • Environment Orchestration: Manage and optimize test execution within Kubernetes (AKS) clusters for stability and reproducibility.
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions pipelines with the DevOps team.
  • Bug Triage & Root Cause Analysis: Collaborate with BAs and developers to investigate failures, analyzing logs and metrics.
  • Load & Performance Testing: Design and execute load tests to identify system bottlenecks and ensure high-concurrency handling.
  • Mentorship & Standards: Establish automated testing best practices, perform code reviews, and uplift the QA teams quality mindset.

Key Requirements

  • Deep expertise with Playwright for web automation and JUnit test suite development.
  • Experience managing complex test data lifecycles, including data masking, synthetic data, and automated database seeding/cleanup (SQL).
  • Proven experience in manual testing, including Regression Testing, Sanity Testing, and UAT.
  • Coding proficiency in Kotlin, with ability to read Java (Spring Boot) and TypeScript (React).
  • Experience testing RESTful APIs, handling authentication (OAuth2/JWT) and validating complex JSON payloads.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Load/performance testing (k6, Gatling, JMeter)
  • Kubernetes (AKS) experience
  • Familiarity with Azure/AWS cloud environments
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR)
  • AI/LLM tooling experience

Education

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent SDET experience

Non-Negotiable Skills

  • Developer mindset: Treat test code with the same rigor as production code
  • Quality advocacy: Perform manual validation proactively
  • E2E ownership: Take responsibility for the full testing lifecycle
  • Technical resilience: Investigate issues beyond reporting failed tests

Perks & Benefits

  • Comprehensive health and life insurance (coverage for one dependent)
  • Flexible leave credits for vacation, emergency, or sick leave
  • Quarterly WFH perks boxes with groceries and snacks
  • Mid-Year Parties with giveaways and cash prizes
  • Career advancement opportunities
  • Company-provided PC/Laptop and fiber internet
  • Tech-on-Wheels support
  • CS Social Clubs and Special Interest Groups
  • International career growth
  • Unlimited referral cash incentives
