What You'll Do
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to ensure software quality and alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, non-functional, API, and regression testing to verify system reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring issues are clearly reproducible and resolved before release.
- Design and implement automated test scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and faster releases.
- Conduct UI regression testing using frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve product quality.
- Analyse logs and investigate root causes of defects using logging and monitoring tools.
- Produce test reports and quality metrics such as defect density, pass rates, and test execution progress.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and quality standards.
Key Criteria
- Strong technical background with at least 3 years experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Proven experience testing large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience developing test plans, test cases, and managing test data and requirements.
- Experience with API testing and regression testing using tools such as Postman.
- Good working knowledge with contract testing frameworks such as PACT.
- Hands-on experience with UI test automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
- Strong knowledge of functional and non-functional testing methodologies.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Ability to analyze system logs and investigate root causes of software defects.
- Experience with scripting languages, SQL, AWS, or load testing tools such as JMeter is nice to have.
Work setup:
- Manila (BGC, Taguig): Australian hours (6:00am3:00pm PHT) with a fully remote setup. (Onsite on day 1)
