As QA/QC Electrical Engineer for DNP, you will be responsible for managing and enforcing Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) activities during the Workmanship Warranty / Defects Notification Period (DNP) for Renewable Energy Plants. The position ensures that all workmanship-related defects are systematically identified, inspected, tested, rectified, and closed out in accordance with contractual requirements, project specifications, and applicable national and international standards.
This role serves as the focal point for warranty-phase quality management, coordinating with EPC contractors, equipment vendors, and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams to ensure timely resolution of defects and sustained plant reliability. The role also leads defect investigations, implements corrective and preventive actions, and maintains defect registries, quality procedures, and inspection frameworks to support continuous improvement and protect asset performance and availability, and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Project Development and Execution Team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Quality System, Standards & Governance
- Implement and enforce approved electrical and electromechanical quality procedures, standards, and specifications during the Workmanship Warranty / Defects Notification Period (DNP).
- Administer and oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Management System for all warranty-related inspection, testing, and corrective works.
- Ensure all rectification works comply with applicable national regulations, project specifications, and international standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, ISO, and relevant grid codes).
- Formulate, develop, and maintain management plans, quality guidelines, and workmanship standards applicable to warranty-phase activities.
- Develop, maintain, and update quality control procedures, inspection checklists, and technical reference materials specific to warranty-phase activities.
Inspection, Testing, Defect Management & Close-Out
- Develop, implement, and maintain inspection and testing procedures specific to warranty-phase works for renewable energy plants and associated balance-of-plant systems.
- Plan and manage inspection and testing schedules for warranty works in accordance with approved procedures and contractual timelines.
- Oversee and witness all inspection, testing, and re-testing activities related to defect rectification, ensuring proper documentation, traceability, and retention of results.
- Act as the focal point for all on-site inspection, testing, and repair works related to workmanship defects during the DNP.
- Ensure timely closure of all Defect Notification Forms (DNFs), including verification of corrective actions and validation of permanent solutions.
- Work closely with Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams to ensure prompt rectification and close-out of DNFs assigned to the EPC.
- Participate in Operations Readiness Review (ORR) activities, including plant walkthroughs, inspections, and document reviews, to verify readiness for sustained operation and identify workmanship-related gaps.
- Establish, maintain, and manage Defects Notification Period (DNP) registries, ensuring accurate tracking, status updates, and documentation of all defect notifications and close-out actions.
Investigation, Analysis & Preventive Action
- Review defect records, test reports, and technical submissions to identify non-conformities, recurring defects, and systemic workmanship issues.
- Investigate workmanship defects and equipment failures using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans to prevent recurrence of defects.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for quality-related issues affecting plant reliability and performance.
Reporting, Audits & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and submit regular management reports covering test results, non-conformities, defect trends, preventive measures, and technical recommendations.
- Coordinate and participate in quality audits of warranty rectification processes and site activities.
- Monitor and track closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of quality control measures applied to defect rectification works and recommend improvements where necessary.
Site Coordination, Plant Reliability & Asset Protection
- Conduct site visits to verify the quality of rectification works performed by EPCs, contractors, and vendors during the warranty period.
- Direct, lead, and support technicians, inspectors, and company personnel involved in warranty inspections and defect close-out activities.
- Coordinate with EPCs, contractors, OEMs, and O&M teams to ensure consistent quality standards and timely defect resolution.
- Protect generation capacity by ensuring maximum plant availability through effective coordination with O&M in resolving workmanship-related issues.
- Support restoration of plant performance following defect rectification and equipment failures.
Tools, Equipment & Training
- Be responsible for the management, calibration, and proper use of testing equipment and tools utilized during the DNP.
- Conduct quality orientations and briefings for staff, technicians, and contractors involved in warranty rectification works to ensure consistent application of quality standards.

What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of experience in the Renewable Energy industry as Site Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, or Testing and Commissioning Engineer; Demonstrated experience in inspection, testing, and defect rectification of renewable energy plants.
- Licensed / Registered Electrical Engineer
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Google Workspace applications, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong skills in dashboard development, data analysis, and preparation of executive-level presentations. Physically fit for fieldwork and capable of safely lifting and handling tools and equipment weighing up to 20 kg.
