Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Technical QA Engineer to join our team at iSupport Worldwide. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing for mobile and web applications, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for ensuring high-quality software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios for mobile and web applications.
- Perform regression, sanity, smoke, exploratory (must have), functional, end-to-end, and stress testing (must have).
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.
- Validate backend data using SQL or Java (either is a must have).
- Use test management and defect tracking tools Jira, Azure DevOps, (GitHub/GitHub Desktopmust have) for documentation and reporting.
- Monitor logs and troubleshoot issues using AWS CloudWatch, Google Cloud (preferred), Azure DevOps, Charles Proxy (really nice to have), or similar platforms.
- Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and clients.
- Lead or mentor junior QA team members (nice to have).
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases and support continuous deployment of pipelines.
- Use Zendesk to review customer support issues and perform exploratory testing around live issues encountered by users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent experience is also considered).
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on mobile and web application testing.
- Proficient in manual testing methodologies (must have); experience with automation tools (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of SQL or Java for backend validation (either is a must have).
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) and familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub/GitHub Desktop Must have).
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtual environments (Google Cloud preferred or similar).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments and using project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Certifications in software testing (nice to have), Agile, or related areas are an advantage.
- Familiarity with mobile app development and testing on both iOS and Android platforms (must have).
Preferred Skills
- Experience in test automation scripting (Python, Java, C#, etc.).
