Our
PURCHASING SPECIALISTS handle the negotiating, coordinating, purchasing, and monitoring of various categories and products spanning from fresh produce to general merchandise, pantry items, and other grocery needs. You will work closely with other departments and external suppliers to ensure that products are fully stocked and readily accessible.
What You Will Do
- The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for handling the assigned product category and ensuring that BuiltaMart has ample supplies of products.
- Will directly report to the Procurement Manager, collaboratively coordinating with suppliers and ensuring that products are ordered and delivered on time.
- Be responsible for the end-to-end cycle of purchasing products/items from suppliers/vendors, handling invoices and purchase numbers while collaborating with the finance team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, specifically with operations, regarding content management and new item creation.
- Assist in handling stock management, specifically items that are near expiry, and produce discounted items and steals.
- Handling supplier information and supplier registration of the assigned category with the department head.
