This role provides structured, reliable administration support across multiple engineering projects and supporting purchasing activities. It is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable working across several priorities at once.
The person will provide support to Engineering and Projects Teams in areas of purchasing of project material requirements.
The position supports internal and client-facing engineering projects, ensures key project registers and documentation are maintained, and acts as a central coordination point between engineers, project managers, and finance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY
Purchasing Support
Raise purchase orders in line with internal approval processes
Coordinate purchasing requests with engineers, project managers, and finance
Liaise with suppliers for purchase order confirmations, and delivery tracking
Follow up on purchases as required by the project teams.
Maintain purchasing records and ensure documentation is complete and auditable
Support basic procurement administration without delegated financial authority
Project Administration
Provide administration support across multiple engineering projects concurrently
Maintain and update project registers, including risk, action, and decision logs
Prepare, distribute, and follow up on meeting minutes and action items
Develop and maintain project schedules, trackers, and status reports
Support project managers and engineers with document preparation and coordination
Ensure project documentation is accurate, current, and well organised
Assist with project travel and accommodation
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5+ years experience in purchasing and project administration.
Experience supporting engineering, construction, or professional services environments
Previous experience in supply chain and procurement will be highly regarded.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects or workstreams simultaneously
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Confidence preparing meeting minutes, maintaining registers, and tracking actions
Workbench, EPR platform, web-based purchasing software.
Experience working with project and financial systems
Attention to detail and initiative in resolving issues through to resolution
Friendly, easy going and hardworking demeanour willing to get involved with tasks at all levels
Team oriented and prepared to roll your sleeves up and get the job done
