Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Purchasing Officer to handle trade and non-trade purchases and ensure purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality. The candidate should have an analytical mind and keep up with product and service trends. Ultimately, a purchasing officer should be able to negotiate well and ensure that all purchases comply with company standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Research and evaluate prospective suppliers.
  • Source materials, goods, products, and services and negotiate the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
  • Ensure that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
  • Maintain pricing histories and other vendor records. and negotiating contracts.
  • Maintain good supplier relations so they can provide us quality services.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Accounting, Business management or related course
  • 2+ years of experience as a purchasing officer or in a similar position.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Trustworthy and reliable.
