About the Role: The Purchasing Assistant supports the procurement team in efficiently sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials, supplies, and services necessary for business operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services.
- Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with concerned departments to clarify purchasing requirements
- Maintain updated records of suppliers, purchase orders, and pricing.
- Communicate with vendors regarding order status, changes, or discrepancies.
- Verify and process invoices for payment in collaboration with the finance team.
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Procurement Manager relevant to the position.
Qualifications
Education
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
Experience
- Fresh Graduate or at least 1 year of experience in the same field is an advantage.
Training Skills
- Negotiation and organizational skills
- Customer service orientation
- Can manage time and meet deadlines effectively
- Familiarity with supply chain and logistics process is advantage
- Knowledge of purchasing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
