Job Description

About the Role: The Purchasing Assistant supports the procurement team in efficiently sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials, supplies, and services necessary for business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotes for goods and services.
  • Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with concerned departments to clarify purchasing requirements
  • Maintain updated records of suppliers, purchase orders, and pricing.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order status, changes, or discrepancies.
  • Verify and process invoices for payment in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Procurement Manager relevant to the position.

Qualifications

Education

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or a related field.

Experience

  • Fresh Graduate or at least 1 year of experience in the same field is an advantage.

Training Skills

  • Negotiation and organizational skills
  • Customer service orientation
  • Can manage time and meet deadlines effectively
  • Familiarity with supply chain and logistics process is advantage
  • Knowledge of purchasing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
