Job Description

Job Title: Purchasing Staff

Job Summary

The Purchasing Staff is responsible for procuring materials, supplies, and equipment required by the company in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role ensures proper coordination with suppliers, internal departments, and project teams to support smooth operations and project execution.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, equipment, and services
  • Request and review quotations, negotiate prices, and process purchase orders
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Operations, Project Management) to determine material requirements
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid project delays
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and delivery schedules
  • Follow up with suppliers regarding delivery timelines, quality, and discrepancies
  • Assist in invoice verification, payment processing, and reconciliation with Finance
  • Support the preparation of procurement reports and documentation for management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, and project specifications
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Department Head

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, or construction supply is an advantage
  • Knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, and procurement processes
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Email)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Work Schedule

  • Full-time | Monday to Saturday
