Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Purchaser located in Muntinlupa City. The Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services required by the company. The role requires a proactive approach in conducting price canvassing, cost comparisons, and market surveys to ensure that materials and supplies are obtained at competitive prices. The Purchaser is also expected to identify overpriced suppliers, recommend cost-effective alternatives, and continuously monitor market pricing to support the company's cost control efforts.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular price canvassing and market surveys to compare supplier pricing and identify competitive options.
- Proactively identify suppliers with overpriced quotations and recommend alternative vendors when necessary.
- Source new suppliers and maintain a network of reliable vendors to ensure competitive pricing.
- Request and evaluate supplier quotations to determine the best value in terms of price, quality, and delivery.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved purchase requests.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Monitor market trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities for the company.
- Maintain updated records of supplier prices, quotations, and procurement documents.
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company procurement policies and procedures.
- Performs others tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Accounting, or any related course.
- At least 3 years experience in purchasing or procurement is an advantage.
- Experience in price canvassing, cost comparison, and supplier coordination preferred.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic documentation.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
