Job Description

The PR Officer is responsible for leading and executing the company's public relations initiatives to strengthen brand reputation and visibility. This role plays a key part in shaping public perception by developing compelling narratives, managing media relations, and ensuring consistent brand messaging across all channels.

The PR Officer will drive publicity campaigns, build strong relationships with media and stakeholders, and proactively identify opportunities to position the company in a positive and impactful way. This role requires a confident communicator who can represent the brand with credibility, creativity, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic PR campaigns to enhance brand visibility and reputation
  • Write and oversee the creation of press releases, speeches, media kits, and other PR materials
  • Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with media, journalists, and key stakeholders
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare insights and reports on PR performance and brand sentiment
  • Lead the planning and execution of press events, media briefings, and corporate engagements
  • Manage and align social media communications with overall PR strategies
  • Act as a point of contact for media inquiries and external communications
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of PR initiatives with marketing and business goals
  • Identify emerging trends, media opportunities, and potential risks to brand reputation
  • Support crisis communication efforts when needed

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • At least 1–4 years of experience in public relations, media, or communications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives
  • Confident and professional presence with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in media relations, press engagement, and event management
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools
  • Experience using Media Cloud or similar media monitoring and database tools
  • Strategic thinking with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
