The Public Relations Officer will oversee Masterbrand public relations programs and initiatives, including major company milestone events, brand-led advocacy programs, strategic partnerships, and industry collaborations. The role also supports local amplification for international store openings and initiatives aimed at strengthening the company's corporate image, fostering national pride among consumers, and driving brand affinity.
The role is responsible for leading the planning and execution of publicity programs for assigned category teams (Channels, Kids, National Promotions, and Retail) to help achieve marketing and sales objectives. This includes maximizing major sponsorships and partnerships to reinforce brand leadership and industry thought leadership.
The Public Relation Officer will also manage the Customer Feedback Management system and assist in developing customer-facing and in-store communication spiels to proactively address concerns. In addition, the role will oversee regular updates and enhancements to the corporate website as needed.
Key Responsibilities
PR-Led Masterbrand Campaigns (Tentpole and Milestone Campaigns)
- Lead end-to-end management and execution of milestone campaigns (e.g., founding anniversaries, milestone store openings) and other PR-led initiatives (e.g., safety and retail innovation campaigns), including campaign briefing, integrated marketing communications (IMC) development, materials review, media planning optimization, and publicity support.
- Provide comprehensive PR support for Channels, Kids, Retail, and National Promotions campaigns, including press release development, editorial review and finalization, and event or activation management.
- Support the Senior Brand PR and Events Manager in publicity for international operations and other related requirements.
Brand-Led Advocacy Programs
- Manage the end-to-end development and execution of the company's flagship annual advocacy awards program, including editorial content review and finalization (press releases, FAQs, spiels), audiovisual scripts and production, speeches, finalist write-ups, and event execution.
- Support the Senior PR Manager in developing new advocacy programs and initiatives that strengthen brand equity and emotional connection with families and communities.
Corporate CSR and Advocacy Programs
- Assist the Senior PR Manager in delivering editorial, publicity, event, and administrative support for annual corporate social responsibility initiatives, including end-to-end campaign planning and execution (launches, community activities, gift-giving initiatives, and clean-up drives).
- Oversee select event legs—especially those with provincial runs—representing the PR team in coordination with Trade Marketing and Operations teams, in the absence of the Senior PR Manager.
- Support the implementation of projects or campaigns in partnership with the company's foundation, sustainability group, and external partners for outreach and socio-civic initiatives.
Stakeholder Communications
- Regularly update and review standard communication spiels for frontline teams and ensure timely cascading to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in crafting new communication spiels to support customer interactions related to policies, pricing, product availability, and other key issues.
- Support brand crisis management by contributing insights through monitoring, social listening, research, and serving as an alternate representative in PR Council meetings when needed.
- Manage the corporate website and coordinate with internal departments to ensure information remains accurate, current, and aligned with corporate messaging.
- Draft and help finalize content for assigned brand sections in the company's annual report, including corporate profiles, milestones, and awards.
Strategic Collaborations and Sponsorship Maximization
- Review, recommend, plan, and implement major sponsorships (e.g., concerts, industry events) to ensure maximum value in line with investment; manage the annual sponsorship budget.
- Ensure sponsorships align with official frameworks and brand objectives, and proactively recommend partnerships that strengthen relevant brand equity metrics.
- Assist in developing and executing strategic brand collaborations to enhance the company's local and global brand image and deepen market affinity.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Corporate Communications, Organizational Communication, Mass Communication or Journalism, Marketing Communications, or a related field.
- At least four (4) years of relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, or brand marketing, preferably from a QSR or leading company in the Philippines.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid setup (two days onsite per week) based in Ortigas, Pasig City.
