General Description
The Digital Planner Buyer will work hand-in-hand with the Digital Lead, along with other ad
operations specialists in managing all digital requirements of the unit
- Expected to build strong and long-term client relationships and maintain frequent contact
- Lead use of digital tools/software and identify necessary additional tools needed to upgrade brands strategy and performance
- Presents knowledgeably digital media reviews, including position papers on the following:
a. latest online media trends
b. competitive situation online
c. online consumer behavior and media habits
d. future scenarios online
- Reports directly to the Digital Lead of OMG PH and submits digital spend tracking Search, Social, and Other Media Responsibilities
- Contribute to the overall strategy for a holistic digital media plan recommendation for company accounts reflective of key metrics, research against the target audience, creative direction, and formats
- Provide Social, Search, Video, Display and Rich Media buying:
a. pre-buy cost estimates
b. goal accountability and defined delivery as well as cancellation guarantees
c. buy negotiations
d. added value negotiations/recap
e. timely post-buy analyses and all billing/payment of invoices
f. timely reporting on all digital requirements
Account Management Responsibilities
Plan deliveries and proper cascade to partners and interactive agencies of record the
following:
- all on-going projects, including timelines, budgets, and invoices
- monitoring of annual digital trends and on-going analysis of online consumer attitudes and behavior
- assist Accounts team in status meetings and reviews with clients and internal teams
- provides directions in acquiring online competitive scans, analyses, and subsequent quarterly updates
- contribute in-depth analysis via presentations and written reports on key online competitor activities
Accurately manage and track client's budget by providing accurate and timely monthly billing
book and accrual reports
- takes all reasonable precautions to guard against any loss to the client through the failure of suppliers to execute their commitments properly
The candidate must have:
- At least three (3) years expertise in the field of digital media planning and buying
- Able to craft effective media recommendations focused on digital platforms and able to explain this to clients in an understandable/clear manner
- Should be able to guide clients and colleagues in the technical aspects of performance planning and buying
- Able to share learnings from previous campaigns ran/give advice to clients and set benchmarks
- Should work with the team in building on digital client portfolio while ensuring requirements are addressed satisfactorily.
