About the Role
We've partnered with a U.S.-based property management company that operates a large and growing residential portfolio. They are hiring a Property Accountant (Staff or Senior level) to support day-to-day property accounting operations and monthly reporting for multiple properties.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on property accounting experience who is detail-oriented, personable, and eager to grow within a real estate accounting environment. You'll work closely with internal teams and contribute to accurate, timely financial reporting for property owners.
What You'll Do
- Perform property-level accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements for assigned properties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable related to property operations
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet accounts
- Support CAM reconciliations and other property-specific accounting processes
- Partner with property management teams to resolve accounting questions
- Assist with audits and respond to ownership reporting requests
- Take ownership of assigned properties and ensure accuracy across all reporting
What We're Looking For
- 25+ years of property accounting experience (Staff or Senior level)
- Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and month-end close
- Experience supporting multiple properties or units
- Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset
- Personable, curious, and motivated to learn and grow
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience with AppFolio
- Exposure to residential or multifamily property portfolios
- Experience working with US based property management companies
