Projects & Automation Engineer

Lead and implement robustification measures and guidelines throughout the factory, ensuring compliance from all departments. Conduct regular audits and health checks, maintaining thorough audit documentation. Lead the maintenance of engineering and automation systems including but not limited to SCADA, PLCs, DCS, BMS and other Industrial Automation Control Systems (IACS). Support the automation team in optimizing automation systems.Provide training and support to junior engineers and team members by sharing best practices.

What You Will Do

• Optimize and support automation systems (Siemens, Beckhoff, KNX, CAN bus, Profibus, ProfiNet).
• Modify and debug software for production machinery and enhance MES systems.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of SCADA, PLCs, DCS, BMS, and other IACS.
• Implement robustification measures and conduct regular audits with proper documentation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards across all departments.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Collaborate with global engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams for process alignment.
• Promote cross-functional communication and support for automation initiatives.
• Comply with EHS procedures, labor laws, and internal regulations.
• Demonstrate safe behavior and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.

What We Look For

• Bachelor's degree in engineeering (Automatic Control and Robotics) or any related Automation or IT related course
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position, with background in Project management.
• Experience in tobacco industry is an advantage.
• Good project management skills and structured when working on projects.
• Good problem solving skills for technical problems.
• Good knowledge on local and global standards.
• Excellent command of speaking and writing English language, with clear & assertive communication skills
