Lead the replication of the Eco Store social business model in new communities, following the strategy of the Director of Social Business.
Facilitate the implementation of new social businesses working with community partners to establish viable Eco Store enterprises,
Train the implementing team in essential business skills and environmental advocacy, and carefully monitor operations.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, including community partners, training/technical partners, and DA team, to ensure cohesive strategic planning.
Monitor and support the operations of newly established Eco Stores to ensure business viability and social impact.
Work with partners to research and develop supply and value chains and market linkages.
Utilize basic accounting skills to manage sales, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory.
Prepare accurate monthly financial reports to track performance.
Advocate for zero-waste practices within communities and build partnerships with other environmentally conscious organisations and stakeholders.
What Were Looking For
Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Development Studies, Management Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience: A seasoned leader with a track record of driving progress and meeting goals.
Technical skills: Skilled in strategic planning, investment management, and impact measurement.
Attributes: Strong financial acumen to budget, allocate resources, and ensure financial sustainability. A proactive, independent decision-maker who can lead a team and collaborate globally. Commitment to sustainability, community empowerment, and social innovation. Willingness to travel and work in rural or under-served communities.
