Job Requirements
Education: Graduate of Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or any related course).
Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in the plastic injection molding industry, with at least 5 years in project management or engineering leadership capacity. Hands-on experience in tooling, mold design, product development, and process validation (PPAP, FAI, DOE).
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of injection molding machines, tooling design, mold trials, and material properties. Proficient in APQP, FMEA, PPAP, and control plan development.
Familiar with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 systems. Excellent in project scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management.
General Skills: Superior leadership, planning, and communication skills. Fluent in written and spoken English. Strong analytical and presentation capabilities. Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and CAD-based tools (2D/3D).
Personal: Mentally and physically fit, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. High sense of responsibility, ownership, and customer orientation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end project execution from customer RFQ to mass production, ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance.
- Coordinate with Sales, Tooling, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain for seamless project implementation.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, milestone charts, and risk assessments, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
- Review and approve mold designs, material selection, and process parameters prior to tool fabrication and trials.
- Facilitate Design Reviews, Mold Trials, FAI, and PPAP with customers and internal teams.
- Ensure costing accuracy, profitability, and adherence to project budgets.
- Identify and resolve issues that may affect tooling performance, cycle time, or product quality.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in tooling, material usage, and process capability.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and project transparency.
- Prepare and present project status reports to management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, EHS standards, and ISO/IATF requirements.
- Mentor and develop subordinates through project-based training and performance reviews.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the superior.
