Project Manager

JOB PURPOSE

The position is primarily responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT application projects that drive digital transformation and application modernization efforts. The position is also responsible for ensuring that IT applications are delivered on time, within budget, and with the features and quality needed by the business unit.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project Management
2. Leads and oversees multiple IT application projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
3. Develops project scope, objectives, and deliverables that support business goals.
4. Creates a project plan including the cost, schedule, scope, and needed resources.
5. Defines project success criteria. Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders.
6. Drives digital transformation initiatives and oversees application modernization projects.
7. Ensures adherence to data protection laws, security best practices, and corporate risk policies.
8. Keeps abreast of the current trends and best practices in IT project management and software development lifecycle (SDLC) to continuously refine project management tools for enhanced efficiency.

1. Project Delivery
2. Manages the delivery of IT applications projects.
3. Identifies project risks and prepares mitigating plans to ensure project delivery within cost and scope.
4. Tracks project milestones. Provides project status updates to the stakeholders.
5. Ensures these are delivered on time, within budget, and with the features and quality needed by the business unit.
6. Directs the project documentation and delivers progress reports.
7. Provides support to end-users. Addresses project issues, and facilitates training (as needed) for successful adoption of new applications.

2. Maintains business relationships with vendors, project consultants, and service providers.
3. Provides coaching to junior colleagues and members of the project team.
4. Makes recommendations on matters pertinent to business operations and other related activities.
5. Participates actively during staff meetings, training programs and other professional development work.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education:Graduate of computer-related, engineering, or any IT-related degree

Experience(s): At least seven (7) years of work experience in managing IT applications and digital transformation projects
