Project Manager

Role Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational readiness and creating an environment that enables delivery teams to achieve superior performance. The role will focus on workforce planning, talent readiness, infrastructure management, stakeholder engagement, process governance, business continuity, and driving transformation initiatives across Publishing Operations.

The incumbent will act as a bridge between business, support functions, and operations teams to ensure that the right people, processes, technology, and infrastructure are in place to support business objectives. This role does not directly manage day-to-day production operations but is accountable for creating the conditions required for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure adequate staffing, skill availability, and resource readiness to support current and future business requirements.
• Partner with Operations, HR, Recruitment, Training, IT, Facilities, and other support functions to maintain delivery readiness.
• Establish governance mechanisms to proactively identify and mitigate operational risks.
• Monitor key operational enablers and drive timely resolution of gaps impacting delivery performance.
• Drive workforce planning initiatives based on business forecasts and growth projections.
• Partner with Learning & Development teams to strengthen capability-building programs.
• Work closely with IT and Facilities teams to address infrastructure-related challenges.
• Lead preparedness activities for business expansions, transitions, and new project launches.
• Drive compliance with security, quality, and operational standards.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Support digital transformation initiatives leveraging AI, analytics, workflow optimization, and automation technologies.
• Develop business cases and implementation plans for strategic improvement initiatives.
• Act as a key liaison between clients, business leaders, operations, and support functions.
• Present readiness updates, risks, mitigation plans, and transformation outcomes to leadership teams.
• Build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on business objectives.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• 8–15 years of experience in BPO/KPO, Shared Services, Publishing Operations, or related industries.
• Experience managing cross-functional programs, business readiness, transformation, or PMO initiatives.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning, operational governance, and business support functions.
• Proven track record of leading process improvement and transformation projects.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and matrix organizations.
