Job Description

Job Purpose/Summary:

  • Manage the operational aspects of the project
  • Manage the commercial aspects of the project in coordination with Commercial team
  • Plan and supervise a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.
  • Organize and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.
  • Well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the team (technical, commercial, operations etc) to determine the specifications of the project
  2. Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  3. Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
  4. Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  5. Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
  6. Oversee supervision of the workers and provide them guidance when needed
  7. Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  8. Manage the transfer to the operational team.
  9. Manage the interface with the contractors/consultants if necessary.
  10. Assist the operational team when required in regards to logistic matters, daily work on site etc.
  11. Follow up payments, approve local expenses and assist on projects cost control.
  12. Forecast resources required for future projects
  13. Allocate site operatives, equipment and materials for all projects
  14. Supervise and assist the project/site engineer, supervisors in their duties
  15. Manage the interface with the clients and resolve conflicts, if any
  16. Solve any major technical problems during project execution
  17. Control site expenses
  18. Conduct regular reporting meeting
  19. Identify training needs for site operatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
  • With at least 8 to 10 years experience as Project Manager in a related field
  • Experience in Post-tensioning and Retro-fitting are required
  • High-level decision making skills
  • Demonstrate efficient management skills
  • Strong understanding of methodologies, cost allocation, budgeting
  • Excellent analytical skills
