Role Description
The Project Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Manila, with a mix of on-site work and flexible work-from-home arrangements. This role oversees end-to-end project execution for magazine issues and special features, including planning timelines, coordinating content production, and managing approvals and deliverables.
The Project Manager works closely with editorial, design, sales, and external stakeholders to ensure that articles, advertisements, and layouts are delivered on schedule and meet quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include tracking progress, resolving bottlenecks, managing vendor and partner communications, and ensuring that logistics related to print and digital distribution are properly handled.
The Project Manager also monitors project budgets, prepares status reports, and supports continuous improvement of production workflows.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage projects from initiation to completion, with strong Project Management skills and experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Expediting and working as an Expeditor to ensure tasks, content, and deliverables are completed on time and aligned with publishing schedules.
- Knowledge of Inspection processes to review content, layouts, and materials for accuracy, consistency, and quality before publication.
- Skills in Logistics Management to coordinate printing, distribution, and vendor relationships, ensuring efficient delivery of print and digital issues.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Japanese is an advantage but not required.
- Experience in media, publishing, or related industries is preferred, with familiarity in working with editorial, design, and marketing teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, demonstrating reliability, self-motivation, and effective collaboration both on-site and remotely.
