Job Description

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the performance of assigned major capital expenditure projects insofar as design and construction are concerned and ensuring that all design, engineering, and construction efforts are controlled in all aspects of quality, schedule and budget.

Project Planning & Monitoring

  • Develop strategies to deliver major projects on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.
  • Set project timelines, budgets, and performance control metrics.
  • Create and implement monitoring and reporting systems for management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments, Corporate Engineering, Purchasing, and contracted partners (Architects, Engineers, Contractors).
  • Report regularly on project status, expenses, deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee structures and equipment amounting up to 300M per project.

Contractor & Construction Management

  • Review and approve contract proposals.
  • Recommend contract awards to the Project Control Group.
  • Manage construction activities through Construction Managers or contractor teams.
  • Ensure contractor work complies with specifications, standards, and safety requirements.

Government Compliance

  • Lead compliance activities related to permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors and government agencies for documentation and approvals.

Cross-functional Representation

  • Represent the Manufacturing Plant, DC, or SBU in project-related discussions.
  • Support operational efficiency by sharing technical expertise and participating in related initiatives.

Job Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer with at least ten (5) years of managerial experience in project management and plant engineering in a food manufacturing industry.
  • Must have excellent expertise in civil and structural design, project management, and plant safety.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Project Management Software preferred.
  • Willing to do field work and site visitations.
  • Must be amenable to working onsite at Canlubang, Laguna.
