Job Description

Renewable Energy (PV & Wind&BESS) Project Development Manager

Position Summary

Responsible for end-to-end investment and development management of photovoltaic and wind projects in the Philippines, driving early-stage development, feasibility, land and resource acquisition, grid connection and permitting, financing coordination, and handover to construction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project screening and due diligence: resource assessment, topography, land use, grid connection conditions, and preliminary environmental review.

Develop and execute project development plans and milestones; coordinate internal and external stakeholders to advance project schedules.

Manage land/lease/right-of-way negotiations and contract administration; handle community and local government relations.

Drive permitting, grid connection approvals, and environmental assessments (EIA/IEE) and manage compliance submissions and follow-up.

Prepare feasibility studies, technical proposals, financial models, and investment proposals; support project financing and JV negotiations.

Manage external consultants (metocean, geotechnical, legal, environmental, engineering, etc.) and ensure deliverable quality.

Liaise with Group team to resolve financial models and risk control.

Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, landowners, communities, financiers, and industry partners.

Report regularly to senior management on project progress, budgets, risks, and key decision recommendations.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years PV or wind project development experience, with at least 3 years practical experience in the Philippines; proven track record of independently advancing large projects (30 MW PV or 50 MW wind) preferred.

Familiarity with Philippine energy regulations, grid connection procedures, land laws, and environmental permitting (EIA/IEE) preferred.

Proficient in financial modeling, LCOE analysis, ROI and sensitivity analysis; capable of preparing commercial proposals and investment reports.

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project milestones concurrently.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills; ability to build trust with government, communities, landowners, and financial institutions.

Proficient in English (written and spoken)

Willingness to travel frequently, including to remote project sites.

Project management certification (PMP) or relevant professional registrations/certifications preferred.
