Job Overview

The Project Development / Financial Planning Analyst will support the evaluation and development of renewable energy projects through financial modeling, market research, and strategic planning. This role plays a key part in identifying new business opportunities, assessing project viability, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of clean energy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models for renewable energy projects, including project cash flows, sensitivity analyses, and valuation metrics (IRR, NPV, payback, etc.).
• Conduct market intelligence and benchmarking on renewable energy trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity in the region.
• Support screening of potential sites, partners, and acquisition opportunities.
• Coordinate and gather data for technical, legal, and financial due diligence.
• Review key project documents and liaise with internal departments (finance, engineering, legal) and external advisors as required.
• Track project timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth execution. Maintain the internal project pipeline and investment opportunity tracker.
• Support the preparation of reports for management.

Required Qualification / Experience

13 years of experience in business development, investment banking, consulting, or project analysis (renewable energy experience a plus).

Good understanding of financial metrics and valuation concepts.

Familiarity with renewable energy economics, power markets, or project finance concepts.
