Job Description

The Segment Accounting Supervisor is responsible in preparation, analysis, and submission of accurate and timely financial reports for the assigned projects. They ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies, while supporting management through variance analysis, reconciliations, and financial insights.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare the Project Scorecard of assigned projects on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports of the segment.
  • Perform reconciliation during project close out and prepare reversal or adjusting entries as needed.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data submitted to the supervisor for consolidation.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and working papers for audits and internal reviews.

Analysis & Review

  • Perform variance analysis of actual vs. budget, forecast, and prior year results.
  • Provide initial commentary and highlight key movements or issues to the supervisor.
  • Assist in preparing management reports and presentations.

Coordination & Collaboration

  • Coordinate with segment finance teams, project development team, and other departments to gather required financial data
  • Provide assistance and respond to queries related to segment reports
  • Support audit requirements by providing documentation and explanations to auditors

Controls & Compliance

  • Follow internal controls and accounting policies in preparing reports
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and PFRS
  • Maintain organized documentation to support all financial entries and adjustments

Process Improvement

  • Help identify gaps and inefficiencies in reporting processes.
  • Suggest and support initiatives to streamline financial reporting workflows.
  • Assist in the implementation of templates and automation tools to improve accuracy and turnaround time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of any Bachelor's Degree related to Finance or Accounting, or any other related programs.
  • With at least three (3) years of relevant experience in financial reporting or general accounting.
  • Working knowledge of PFRS and corporate financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and experience using SAP systems.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Amenable to work in Pasay from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.
