Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Production Supervisor at Bite Me Up CDO Food Corp. Responsible in overseeing the smooth and efficient running of production operations by supervising team leaders and organizing and monitoring work flow. Tasked to plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions. 

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor degree in Food Technology or Business Management
  • Have undergone trainings and seminars related to the job
  • With at least 2 years supervisory experience; experience working on a plant is an advantage
  • Strong Supervisory and decision making skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Ability to create and follow schedules 
  • Organization skills and willingness to assume accountability for departmental practices required
  • With good oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time 
  • Ability to interact with the team and other departments professionally
  • Ability to undertake multiple tasks at the same time without losing focus
  • Must be proactive, with the ability to meet and surpass production deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Supervises 6 or more team leaders and has direct accountability on production processes and requirements.
  • Oversee the day to day production process of each production team. 
  • Be in charge of operational practices making sure that each team runs smoothly and meets production requirements. 
  • Ensure effective employee relations, provide coaching, counseling and training, appraise job results and instill employee discipline. 
  • Maintain work flow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; and initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. 
  • Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow. 
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. 
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and employee morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work to continuously improve in all areas. 
  • Manage departmental performance measures, including visual controls and provide regular progress reports to immediate head. 
  • Perform accident investigations. 
  • Maintain proper inventory level and coordinate with Purchasing and Logistics on materials or ingredients requirements. 
  • Manage department priorities. 
  • Track absenteeism and timekeeping. 
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
  • Submit daily Production Performance Report to the immediate head.
