Job Summary

The Production Planner, M&C is responsible for developing and executing production and materials plans to meet customer demand, revenue targets, and on-time delivery (OTD) objectives. The role ensures materials availability, production continuity, and optimal factory loading through effective coordination with cross-functional teams such as Purchasing, Operations, and Engineering. The planner analyzes demand and capacity, manages material outlook, and proactively resolves risks to support uninterrupted production and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, validate, and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and ensure data accuracy.
  • Strategize daily and weekly production loading based on capacity and capability assessments.
  • Monitor execution of production plans and provide recovery actions for schedule variances.
  • Ensure alignment of production plans with customer demand and business objectives.

Materials Planning & Coordination

  • Ensure materials availability to support continuous production operations.
  • Track and analyze material requirements within planning windows and provide regular materials outlook.
  • Coordinate closely with Purchasing and Material Planners for expediting and commitment updates.
  • Escalate material shortages and drive resolution for critical supply issues.

On-Time Delivery & Performance Management

  • Drive actions to meet internal and external on-time delivery (OTD) targets.
  • Monitor production performance and ensure timely completion of jobs and kits.
  • Generate reports and provide updates on material status, delivery risks, and recovery plans.
  • Support customer requirements by providing accurate and timely demand and supply information.

Demand, Capacity & Risk Management

  • Analyze demand and supply requirements to support revenue targets.
  • Conduct capacity assessments and recommend adjustments to optimize utilization.
  • Identify risks in materials supply, production capacity, and delivery commitments, and implement mitigation plans.
  • Communicate risks and status updates to stakeholders and management.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Collaborate with Operations, Industrial Engineering, Purchasing, and other teams to ensure alignment.
  • Lead or participate in meetings to monitor materials, capacity, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain clear communication across all levels of the organization regarding production and materials status

Compliance to Quality & Safety

  • Always adheres to quality standards and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering (BSIE), Information Technology (BSIT), Computer Science, or any related 4-year course.
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Production planning and control, Materials planning (Master Production Scheduling) and supply-demand management, and Capacity analysis and factory loading
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
