Job Summary

The Senior SMT Production Planner is responsible for leading the development, execution, and optimization of strategic production plans that support operational requirements across all product families for both Laguna and Cavity factories. This role is pivotal in driving production efficiency, ensuring revenue delivery, and aligning manufacturing operations with dynamic customer demand. The Senior Planner acts as a key decision-maker, providing direction on capacity planning, risk mitigation, and cross-functional alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive SMT production plans to support business and operational objectives across all product lines.
  • Collaborate closely with Materials, Supply Chain, and Procurement teams to ensure material readiness, continuity of supply, and mitigation of shortages.
  • Drive factory loading strategies and long-term capacity planning, optimizing resource allocation to meet fluctuating demand.
  • Own and monitor performance against revenue targets and key operational KPIs; proactively identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Champion on-time delivery and fulfillment of customer requirements (internal and external), ensuring alignment with business priorities.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly production planning cycles, clearly communicating plans, risks, and recovery strategies to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams to assess and respond to demand changes, including surge and downturn scenarios.
  • Develop and implement contingency and recovery plans for major disruptions (e.g., machine downtime, material shortages, capacity constraints).
  • Analyze customer forecasts and requirements, translating them into actionable production strategies.
  • Perform advanced capacity analysis, balancing factory capabilities with demand while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, tools, and systems to enhance accuracy, visibility, and responsiveness.
  • Mentor and guide junior planners, providing leadership and fostering a high-performance planning team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in production planning, materials planning, or supply chain management, preferably in SMT or electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong expertise in demand and supply planning, capacity planning, production scheduling, and end-to-end manufacturing flow.
  • Proven experience in handling complex planning environments and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability, including mentoring, coaching, and leading initiatives.
  • Highly adaptable, assertive, and results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Proficiency in planning systems, ERP/MRP tools, and advanced Excel or data analysis tools is highly preferred.
